Stephen Reford, B.A.Sc., P.Eng.
President and Senior Consulting Geophysicist
Stephen joined PGW in 1981 after a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science (geophysics) from the University of Toronto. In 1994, he became a partner and Vice-President of PGW.
In 2016, he was appointed President of PGW. He is also a director of IDPeX, PGW’s 1/3-owned consultancy in India.
Stephen has managed and played a technical role on numerous projects for government agencies worldwide, including World Bank, UN and CIDA-sponsored projects. He specializes in all aspects of airborne geophysics for mineral, hydrocarbon and groundwater applications.
Stephen is a member of the Canadian Exploration Geophysical Society (KEGS) and served on its executive committee for four years. He is also a member of PDAC, SEG, ASEG and EAGE. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
Edna Mueller-Markham, M.Sc., P.Geo.
Vice-President and Senior Consulting Geophysicist
Edna joined PGW in 1997 after obtaining a M.Sc. in Geology from McMaster University and a B.Sc. in Physics (geophysics) from the University of Toronto. In 2016 she became a partner and managing director of PGW.
She focuses on quality control, processing, modelling and interpretation of primarily magnetic, gravity, radiometric and electomagnetic data. She has also provided training in geophysical theory and software in English and French in Gabon, Cameroon, Laos and in the Toronto office.
Edna is a member of the Canadian Exploration Geophysical Society and served on its executive committee for four years. She a registered Professional Geoscientist with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO).
Iris Lenauer, Ph.D., P.Geo.
Senior Structural Geologist
Iris is a structural geologist who specializes in structural mapping and analysis, integration of geological with geophysical data, and 3D litho-structural modeling. Iris completed a bachelor’s degree in geochemistry at the University of Vienna, working on petrography of Martian meteorites and establishing an extraterrestrial rock sampling protocol. She obtained her master’s degree by mapping a low-angle extensional shear zone in the Cyclades. Iris moved to Canada to work on a PhD thesis in structural mapping of the Sudbury Impact Structure and forward modeling of its deformation. Since 2012 she has been working as a structural geology consultant, working in a wide range of geographical locations and tectonic settings.
After 2.5 years with SRK Consulting in Toronto, Iris joined PGW in 2015, where she focusses on structural mapping and ground truthing, interpretation of geophysical data and 3D modeling.
She a registered Professional Geoscientist with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO).
Peter Tschirhart, M.Sc., P.Geo.
Peter Tschirhart graduated from McMaster University in 2011 with a B.Sc in Earth and Environmental Science. Following undergraduate studies, Peter completed an M.Sc in Earth Science in 2013, also at McMaster University.
After graduation, Peter worked as a Geophysical Data Analyst for 3.5 years at Sander Geophysics. He travelled extensively during this time and was involved on numerous field projects on 4 continents. His duties included QA/QC and data processing (aeromagnetics, radiometrics, and airborne gravity). He was also involved with several large magnetic and gravity interpretation projects. In January 2017 Peter joined PGW as a staff geophysicist where he has been involved with data processing, interpretation, QA/QC and modelling services.
Peter is a member of the Canadian Exploration Geophysical Society and a registered Professional Geoscientist with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO).
